Joseph Rinaldo Obituary

NORTON---Our wonderful, dedicated and loving father was born December 4, 1929, and went home on Dec 23, 2021, to be with our Heavenly Father and his loving wife of 50+ years (Dec 18, 2006) for Christmas.

He is preceded in death by his wife Frances Grace (Pastor) Rinaldo; his mother, Nancy; father, Salvatore; his sisters, Nancy (Tom) Maselli, Angie (Dick) Ashley, Anna Marie (Rinaldo) Labin, and Grace (Ralph) Wagner; his brothers, Tommy (Allie) Reynolds, Frankie (Marie) Reynolds, Leon (Joann) Rinaldo, Tommy (Mary) Rinaldo, and James (Sue) Rinaldo; He is survived by his sons, Michael (Carol) Rinaldo, Stephen (Robin) Rinaldo, Christopher (Liane) Rinaldo; Grandchildren, Vincent (Taylor) Rinaldo & Jessica (Adam) Hoskins, Anthony & Natalie, and Dominic; Great-Grandchildren Evelyn and Loretta Hoskins and Elliot Rinaldo; and his beloved golden retriever, Millie.

He retired after 43 years of service at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company working at multiple facilities. At Plant 1, he worked with the lampblack material used in tire manufacturing to make the rubber material black in color. At Plant 2, he built tires layering raw rubber materials by hand on a barrel-shaped machine to physically build each tire. He always came home with his fingers black with residue, from handling the materials, becoming one of the Top 10 Tire builders (Goodyear Double Eagles). Eventually, Plant 2 transitioned into the Goodyear Tech Center where he continued to work, creating training videos for various areas of Tire manufacturing.

Dad “loved!!” the Boston Red Sox, spending time with his family, watching sports, and listening to music, especially Les Brown and His Band of Renown who played the drums.

He will always be remembered for his loving heart, funny jokes, turning a phrase or word into a matching song, big hugs, and warm smiles.

He played music for his brother Frankie Reynolds until the late ’60s, forming his own band, providing quality entertainment at all kinds of restaurants, weddings, and events with his brother James on the Bass.

Per our dad’s request, there will be no calling hours and the family will be having a private Funeral Mass. Our dad will be placed in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Barberton, 44203. To share a memory or send a condolence, please visit www.silva-hostetler.com
