Katherine A. Klusty, 91, passed away peacefully with her family by her side after listening to her favorite Saturday morning Polkas on May 20, 2023. Katherine was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and was a hairdresser. She was a member of the former SS. Cyril and Methodius and Holy Trinity Catholic Churches and a current member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Spending time with her children and their families was her greatest joy. She enjoyed cake decorating, crafts, sewing, ceramics and cooking. Preceded in death by her husband Julius Sr.; son Carl and his wife Shirley; and great-grandson baby boy Cromer; She will be deeply missed by her sons Julius Jr. (Jean); Lawrence (Sandra) and David (Marybeth); daughter Margaret (Mike) Hawks; grandchildren Justin Klusty, Lindsay Smith, Carrie (Robert) Lewis, Carla (Nicholas) Dalrymple, Justine Neuwirth, Adrianne (Joshua) Schultz, Ariel (Anthony) Liggett, Michael (Nichole) Hawks, Kayla Hawks, Mary Kate (Brett) Diehl, Renee (Anthony) Robinson and Wes (Melissa) Parkinson; great-grandchildren Cameron, Riley, Alice, Valerie, Courtney, Joshua, Michael, Luke, Anakin, Jhene and Ada. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Liberty Residence II who went above and beyond in her care and treated her like family. Katherine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Fr. Louis Thomas, celebrant. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
