Kenneth M. Schrader, 88, passed away January 19, 2025 at The Village of St. Edward in Green. Ken was born in Akron, OH and was a long-time resident of the City of Green. He served in the Army National Guard and spent his working career at Falls Tool and Die, where he retired as Vice President.
Ken was an avid sports fan and automotive enthusiast. He played golf and bowled for most of his life, and in his later years, took up the sport of drag racing. He was always available to help his children with countless home improvement and automotive projects. He and mom enjoyed traveling around the country and spending winters in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Preceded in death by his parents Carl and Elizabeth Schrader; brothers Carl and Donald; and his beloved wife of 63 years, Kathryn. He is survived by; daughter Donna (Larry) Anderson; sons Richard (Sheila), Robert (Tammy) and David (Jill); grandchildren Tyler (Nora) Anderson and Ashlee (Adam) Hawkins; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Kenneth’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4700 S Main St, Akron, OH 44319. Burial will be at Greensburg Cemetery, Green OH. Calling Hours will be held on ONE HOUR PRIOR to the service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or Village of St. Edward Foundation.
