Richard Csuhta was 85 years old when he passed away after a long illness on June 21,2021.
Richard was a loving father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He is reunited with his brother, Bob, his grandson Justin and his loving parents. He was an avid reader, golfer and an excellent euchre player. He was born on March 25, 1936 in Barberton, Ohio to Susan (Kuzmik) and Andrew Csuhta. In 1960, he graduated from Goodyear as a journeyman machinist. He was a marketing manager at Babcock and Wilcox and retired in 1997. He was a devout parishioner at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Norton, Ohio and prayed the rosary daily. Along with his devotion to prayer, his favorite pastimes were reading the Akron Beacon Journal and filling out the daily crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and meeting his life-long friends for breakfast.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Snowball, his children, Rick (Debra) Csuhta, Connie (Dan) Luther, Mary (Don) Karas, Anita (Tony) Gennaro, Jim (Mary) Csuhta and Tricia Csuhta, his grandchildren Ali Karas, Danny Luther, Samantha (Kenny) Stevenson, Corey Csuhta, Sherrie (Tyler) Flint, Michael, Addy and Anthony Gennaro, great-grandchild Brooklyn Flint and many other family and friends.
Richard’s calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5 to 8pm at SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Road West Barberton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Road Norton, at 10:00 am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
