BARBERTON---Robert “Bob” L. Myers, 83, passed away August 21, 2021.
Bob was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and graduate of Barberton High School. He was a bricklayer, former Assistant Building Commissioner for the City of Barberton and retired from Summit County as a Building Inspector. Bob was a faithful member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed woodworking, playing guitar, painting pictures, writing poetry and making wooden sculptures, furniture and clocks.
He was preceded in death by his son Rob; brother William; and sisters Helen Herold, Dorothy Gissinger and Rita Smeltz. Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Marlene; daughter Carol (Kevin) Roman; daughter-in-law Judy Myers; and granddaughters Abby and Bella Roman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Calling Hours Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Private burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
