Stefan “Di Di” M. Jursik, 92, passed away July 2, 2022. Steve was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from Seiberling Tire and Rubber Co. after 30 years of service. He also worked at Kenmore Development Co. after his retirement. Steve was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Slovene Pensioners Club and Domovina Lodge. He was a proud Army Veteran where he served in Japan and also the Korean War. Steve also loved playing his saxophone with all the jam sessions in the area and doing woodworking.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years Patricia; parents Andrew and Elizabeth; 8 brothers; and 3 sisters; He is survived by daughters Donna (Michael) Ciammaichella of Columbus, Patricia (Carl) Klaus of Norton and Marilyn (Dennis) Estrin of Chagrin Falls; grandchildren Andrew (Vivian) and Anthony (Taylor) Ciammaichella, Annette (Ross) Ullrich, Joe (Heather) Klaus and Rachel (Tim) and Max (Tommy) Estrin; great-granddaughter Elaina Klaus; sister-in-law Elizabeth Kotnik of Barberton; brother-in-law Don (Rochelle) Kotnik of Toledo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to the mass AT THE CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Church.
