Susan E. “Suzi” Prinzo, 71, of Wadsworth passed away August 8, 2023 at Wadsworth Pointe after battling long-term health issues. Suzi retired early from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company to care for her growing family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Her family meant everything to her. She was selfless and took care of everyone ahead of herself. Suzi showed her love in so many ways. She was an amazing cook perfecting many recipes that were requested for every family gathering and holiday. There was never a time we ran out of food. She showed up prepared to feed an army. Suzi fiercely protected those she loved. She might have been soft spoken, but she could also be a force of nature if a situation presented itself. She adored her two granddaughters to whom she was Oma. She was their playmate sharing her American Girl Doll collection and other treasures she had saved for them. The love she had for her granddaughters was reflected in all of their artwork displayed throughout Oma and Opa’s house. When she loved you—you knew it. There was never any doubt. Suzi had a way of making everyone feel like they were part of her beloved family. Anyone who knew her well or had the opportunity to meet her undoubtedly has a story they will always remember about her. And, probably more than one. Most that would make you laugh until you cried. Despite anything she might have been going through herself, Suzi could lighten the mood and bring joy to those around her. She was a wonderful story teller and cracked a lot of jokes. Often times in spite of herself. At times like this we question how we could possibly go on in the absence of someone as special as she was to so many. We do because she would not have it any other way. Preceded in death by her father, Junior Fulton, mother, Franziska Fulton, father-in law, Joseph Prinzo, his wife, Chayito Prinzo, and brother-in law, Joseph Prinzo, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jerry Prinzo, son Tony Prinzo (Kristen Chiera) of Wadsworth, Ohio; daughter Angela Prinzo (Fiancé Kyle Holmes) of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; granddaughters Alayna and Brooke Prinzo, brother Gary Fulton of Tallmadge, Ohio; sister Kathy Orr of Staunton, VA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Patricia Prinzo of Barberton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Ginny Prinzo of Hoschton GA, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, Sept. 2 from 11 am-1 pm at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11-11:30 am as well as after a prayer service led by Joan Shaffer. To share a story or memory about Suzi, please email jerryprinzo1@gmail.com.
