Thomas Francis Logsdon, 86, died on November 2, 2022 from the effects of esophageal cancer and a five-year battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Tom was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Lydia Logsdon, his sister Barbara Kelly and his beloved son Andrew Thomas Logsdon.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 65 years Diana (Svete) Logsdon, his children Julie Bindreiter (Diane Culbertson), Nora Logsdon, John and Jennifer (Bastian) Logsdon, and Susannah Logsdon, daughter-in-law Amy (Miller) Logsdon, brother-in-law Gary Kelly and former son-in-law Harry Bindreiter. In addition, he leaves grandchildren Mary Buckohr (Nate), Hannah Bindreiter (Matthew Kiser), Audrey Logsdon, Sophia Logsdon, Jack Logsdon and two great-grandchildren Sawyer and Grace Buckohr.
Tom was a devout Catholic and lifetime member of St. Augustine Church in Barberton. He was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, member of the Holy Hour Program, and catechetical teacher. When he was a student at St. Augustine School, he began serving Mass, many times beginning his school day walking from his west side Barberton home to serve 6:00 a.m. Mass with Msgr. Schmitz. As an adult Tom took great pride in the Adult Altar Server Ministry at the parish. He was responsible for serving and scheduling adult servers for the 8:00 a.m. Sunday Mass, scheduling servers and serving at the altar for all funerals at St. Augustine Church. For many years, Tom was a daily Mass attendee.
Tom was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 42 Years and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 897. He was also a member of the Barberton Sports Hall of Fame Committee.
Tom delivered meals for Meals on Wheels of Northeast Ohio and for over 25 years was a member of the “Chain Gang” for Barberton High School Football.
For over 40 years the Logsdon family enjoyed their annual 4th of July week vacation at the “Cottage on the Dunes” in Avon, North Carolina, on the Outer Banks.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, 204 Sixth Street, NW, Barberton, Fr. William Browne, celebrant, Deacon Robin Adair, homilist. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
