BARBERTON---Tilden Earl Steiner, 98, of Barberton passed away March 16, 2021. Tilden was born in Orrville on November 9, 1922, to Earl and Elizabeth (Amstutz) Steiner. He was the oldest of ten children. He graduated from Doylestown Chippewa High School, and worked for Tschantz Organ Works and Columbia Southern before serving in the 8th Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war he married the love of his life, Mary Resek, and together they raised five children. He retired from PPG in Barberton with 43 years of service, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Slovene Center, and the Slovene Pensioners Club. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Barberton, and one of the founding members of Perpetual Adoration at the Church.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, sisters Mary, Hazel and Myrtle, brother Bud (Clarence), granddaughters Christie Marie and Rebecca, eight brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. He is survived by sons James (Brenda), John (Carol), Paul and Joseph (Chris), daughter Debbie, grandchildren James, Jr, Jessica (Jim) Harris, Althea (David) Genton, Emily (Andrew) Little, Rachel (Corey) Lehman, Keith (Christine) Roseboom, twelve  great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brothers Wilbur (Betty), Bruce (Helen) and Donald (Ruth), sisters Dorothy (Bill) Shoup and Judy (Willard) Miller, sisters-in-law Jean Steiner and Frances Rottman, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dad liked picnics and camping while we kids were young; later, he liked to travel with Mom taking photographs of covered bridges and Ohio County Seats. Most of all he liked spending time with family and taking his grandchildren for walks and ice cream. He was an exceptional role model and teacher and left us with many wonderful memories. We love you, Dad, and we will miss you.
