William E. Baughman

BARBERTON---William E. Baughman, 88, passed away October 7, 2021.

Bill was born in Akron and had been a Barberton resident all his life. He retired from P.P.G. Industries and was a member of the former Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church until it closed. Bill was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman but most of all he was very devoted to his entire family. He was also a proud Army Veteran.

Preceded in death by his brother Kenneth; he is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Peggy Ann; sons David and Chris (Mika); daughter Janine (Len) Thomas; grandchildren Alexandria (Kevin) Kelly, Derek Baughman and Jessica, Jared and Jillian Thomas; great-grandchildren Natalie and Joey Kelly; and sister Barbara Silchuk.

Bill's Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Deacon Robin Adair officiating. Interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday, October 18, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
