NORTON---William "Bill" Hauser, 83, passed away peacefully at home Sunday March 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, of 53 years and his son Bill. He is survived by his sons Bob (Judy), Gary, Tom (Chris), Terry (Anne) & Greg and his daughter Cindy and Daughter-in law Shelly Kellar (Marty). He is also survived by grandchildren Claire Smith (Brian), John, Phillip, Dustin Bloomfield (Susan), Mike Bloomfield, Eisen Campo, Emily Rokakis (Nick), Abby, Olivia, Nicole Powers (Joe), Carly Davis (Tony), & Julia; great-grandchildren Abby Bloomfield, Jacob Hausch, Alex & Daniel Bloomfield and a baby boy on the way in August; great-great, grandchildren David & Brooklynn Hartline.
Bill owned the grocery side of Al's IGA in downtown Barberton and eventually held a second job as the donut maker for the Krinkle House donut shop when they 1st opened. He owned several different restaurants along the way and eventually took a job at Acme, where he held several positions including the manager of the sporting goods and automotive departments. He retired over 20 years ago from Acme after many years of service.
He loved fishing more than anything and was an avid Euchre player. He enjoyed going to the Barberton Active Adult Community Center & participated in many trips originating from there. For a while he was one of their drivers. He enjoyed going to the Slovene Center, Sokol's, and the VFW.
He will be buried in a private ceremony on Wednesday due to the current COVID-19 virus. A celebration of life will occur at a time and date to be determined.
