It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zachary Dylan Merchant on October 30, 2023. Zachary was born on November 5, 2007 and was a vibrant and loving young man who touched the lives of everyone around him. He is leaving behind a legacy of silliness, dedication, and harmony. His passion for music was matched only by his kindness and compassion toward others. In addition to his musical talents, Zachary was a beloved friend, brother, nephew, cousin, grandchild, great-grandchild and son. He was a proud member of Manchester High School Marching Band, loved video games and was an aspiring podcast author. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The legacy of Zachary lives on through the melodies he played, the friendships he forged, and the love he shared. As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate his life and the impact he had on all of us. May his music, gentle soul, and kind spirit continue to inspire and uplift us, reminding us of the beauty he brought into the world. Zachary is survived by his loving parents, John Harvey Merchant and Kara Lynn (Shambo) Merchant, sisters Kaidence and Thea, grandparents Rob and Debbie (Mack) Merchant, Phil and Kathy (Cox) Patton, great-grandma Joan Cox and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
