Cecelia "Sally" (nee Solosky) Sokolosky Rajniak
Cecelia passed away peacefully on April 28, 2016 at Manor Care. She was born in Barberton Ohio and was a lifelong resident of the West side.
Cecelia never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She worked as waitress for over 40 years at South End Tavern and Columbia Cafe; retiring in 1978. She loved to travel and was able to see most of the U. S. and parts of Europe. She was a life-time member of St Mary's Catholic Church and then joined Prince of Peace parish when the churches blended.
Cecelia married Victor Sokolosky on Nov 23, 1939. After Victor's death, she married John Rajniak on April 21, 1979 and gained a step-son. She was a hard working woman who raised her daughter as a single mom after the death of her first husband. She took great pride in her home; dust never stood a chance of settling in her house.
Preceded in death by her parents Peter and Jennie (Kempe) Solosky; husbands Victor Sokolosky and John Rajniak; sisters, Irene Lego and Frances Ziblot. She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Vickie Ann (Keith) Clark; step-son, John (Brenda) Rajniak; special nieces, Beverly Ziblot, Joyce (Ray) Hudacko, and Judith (Sherwin) Alberts; long time neighbors, Mary Fisher, Polly Valencheck, and Vern Bidinger; many other loving family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday from 5-7 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Church.
