Pauline L. Boley, nee Walch, 94, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2016 at Brookdale Barberton Senior Living.

Polly was born in Cuyahoga Falls and had been an area resident all her life. She and her husband James were charter members of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Norton, where she was very active with many events.  She was served on the Altar Guild, as a Eucharistic Minister and on Parish Council. She was honored to have been chosen as the “Woman of the Year” for the church in 1995.

Polly retired from Norton City Schools where she served as a librarian and cook.  She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile for many years as well as crocheting hundreds of baby hats for local hospitals. Polly became an avid fisherman in Canada after her husband Jim introduced her to the sport 48 years ago.  She was also active in the Barberton and Wadsworth Senior Centers, the Norton Senior Citizens and St. Augustine Seniors. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Barberton for their loving care and attention to Polly.

Preceded in death by her husband James; son Roger; and 3 brothers and 2 sisters; She is survived by her sons Dennis (Pat) of Uniontown and Bruce (Cathi) of Norton; four grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Fr. James Maloney celebrant. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew’s Church or Brookdale Barberton, 487 Austin Dr., Barberton, 44203.
